Rare Targa Florio and Le Mans winning Porsche to go under the hammer at Brands Hatch

A 1966 Porsche, which took part in the Targa Florio and won its class at the Le Man 24-hour race, will be the highlight at the COYS auction taking place on Saturday 23rd May, 2009 at the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit.

The rare 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6 ex-Works Le Mans class-winning Porsche is expected to fetch up to £400,000, when it goes under the hammer at the auction held by International Auctioneers COYS, as part of the annual three-day Masters Historic Festival at Brands Hatch, to be held between 23-35th May.

Over 50 cars, 100 items of automobilia and 42 sporting guns will all go under the hammer at the legendary motor circuit.  Other auction highlights include: A 1966 Lola T70 Spyder MkII Ex-John Mecom/Jim Hall, estimated at £225,000 - £250,000, a 1957 AC Aceca, estimated at £40,000 - £50,000, a 1988 Porsche Kremer 962, estimated at £325,000 - £375,000, and a 1992 Jaguar XJ220 estimated at £110,000 - £130,000.
