REVVING UP THE GRAND PRIX ACTION AT MERCEDES-BENZ WORLD

Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey will be second only to the grandstand for Formula 1™ fans throughout the 2010 Grand Prix season, as it screens every race, starting with the Bahrain Grand Prix this Sunday on the 14th March.

The Brand Experience Centre is inviting motorsport fans to its Event Hall to enjoy the race action on the big screen, from the moment they start through to the very last lap.  But that’s not all – there will also be high octane action on the thrilling purpose built circuits at Mercedes-Benz World.  For just £15, visitors have the chance to passenger with a professional driver in a 6.2 litre, V8 powered Mercedes AMG and experience the legendary performance and handling on every challenging corner and straight.

The entertainment and excitement doesn’t stop there.  The Silver Arrows Display Team will be warming up the crowds with dramatic performances guaranteed to send pulses racing at 11:30am.  Pushing the power and performance of AMG close to its extraordinary limits with precision driving skills on the Handling Circuits and Wet Skid Circle, the drivers will be showing the outstanding dynamic ability of these cars. 

The Gullwing Restaurant will offer its own taste of Formula 1™.  The restaurant is operated by Absolute Taste - who provide the finest hospitality for the VIP guests of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team around the world.  With a reputation spanning the globe for excellent food, visitors to Mercedes-Benz World can book their own hospitality seat in the Gullwing Restaurant and enjoy the delicious British menu that uses the finest produce, from sources such as Laverstoke Park - the organic benchmark founded by past Formula 1 World Champion Jody Scheckter

There is plenty more to see and do at Mercedes-Benz World, including Lewis Hamilton’s 2007 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1™ car, Mercedes-Benz films in the 88 seat cinema, featuring TV Legend Jay Leno driving the sensational new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, giving a drivers guide to LA’s hidden natural street circuit, plus an enlightening 3D simulator journey through the production of a Mercedes-Benz.

Running throughout the Formula 1™ Grand Prix season, Mercedes-Benz World will be screening each race at a Grand Prix Sunday event:

Mercedes-Benz World is open daily from 10am to 6pm, seven days a week (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day), and admission is free.
